So as a church we are about to start 40 Days of Community. This is the next in the series after 40 Days of Purpose. It looks interesting. There seem to be some good things to learn.
One concern I have with the 40 Days movement is that you get to be shown where Saddleback and Rick Warren have been and what they have learnt. You don't get to travel the journey that they have been on for yourself. Many people learn and develop better when they actually take the trip themselves.
That said there is opportunity to travel our own journey being guided by the 40 Days material.

At the moment I am reading (slowly) The Ragamuffin Gospel. It is a bit heavy going but very interesting.Once I finish I will do a review.
