So Wellington hospital has some fancy computer attached to their ultra-sound that allows them to construct pictures of babies before they arrive. So let us introduce our daughter to you...



She is due around 14th Dec.
As you can see, we are prepared with a cot and all the other massive amount of stuff that everyone seems to say you need.

Is that a "Touchwood" cot? Locally-designed, locally-made and approved to Australian/New Zealand Standard. It looks like it from the pic.
A decade or more ago I was briefly involved in the Standards-approval process for these cots when they first came out. The designer who is a local Khandallah man wanted a better-quality cot for his babies than was available at the time, so he made his own. Friends who saw how good it was then asked if he would make a few more, for them. And so began the Touchwood Cot business. Proudly made in New Zealand!
Of course I may have it wrong, and the cot in the picture is some other brand but it looks like a Touchwood.
It is indeed a Touchwood.
