Safari 3

Apple have released Safari 3. Safari is Apple's web browser and has been a core component of MAC OS for a while.

However now you can get a Windows version!!!

But why would you bother switching?

Will, check out the following page for performance stats

http://www.apple.com/nz/safari/

Basically Safari has all the features but is way faster than other browsers.

Someone's been drinking too much of the Apple advertising koolaid ;)

I'd rather not trade a bit more performance (which is questionable [1]) for globs more memory and reported instability [2] [3].

Plugins are the biggest drawcard for Firefox, and I don't see many of those for Safari.

Finally, the mac skin on a PC is ugly. Would you use a program on your mac if it looked (and acted) like a Windows app?

Hey Chris
Safari 3 is beautiful on a MAC. Given what they did with iTunes on a PC... sure... I would give it a go. However I don't have any Windows machines (all MACs) so it 'aint a prob.

Would I use a Windows app on a MAC... unfortunately yes. Office for MAC is ugly because it doesn't use the latest interface standards.

Anyway... Safari 3 rocks on a MAC and given it is on a PC, it is an opportunity for PC users to have some good software.
